The telecommunications infrastructure is the backbone of modern society and enables seamless communication. In the event of a power outage, uninterruptible power supply for critical components such as base stations, repeaters and data centers is a major challenge. According to the guidelines from the German Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance critical infrastructures, such as digital radio for authorities and organizations with security tasks, should be supplied with uninterrupted backup power for at least 72 hours in the event of a power grid failure.
EFOY Fuel Cell Solutions are already making an important contribution to frictionless communication in crisis prevention. They cover the power supply for emergency equipment and the on-board power supply for the vehicles of aid and blue light organizations in the event of an emergency.
