Zero-emissions energy for a climate-neutral future

The European Union has set a goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2050. To achieve this goal, CO2 emissions need to be reduced by well over 90 percent. To accomplish this, gaseous, de-carbonized energy sources must be used. One such source is CO2-neutral hydrogen.

EFOY Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Our EFOY hydrogen fuel cells are based on PEM (polymer electrolyte membrane) technology, and generate zero-emissions power from the hydrogen fuel. They operate on commercially available hydrogen 3.0 cylinders.

Benefits of hydrogen as an energy source

Zero emissions

Hydrogen is a clean energy source. When using it to produce energy via a fuel cell, its only byproducts are exhaust heat and water. You can drastically reduce your CO2 footprint by replacing your Diesel generators with fuel cells. Hydrogen can be produced from renewable energy sources, such as wind or solar, using environmentally friendly electrolysis processes. Hydrogen produced in this manner is CO2 neutral, which is why it is called “green hydrogen”.

Green hydrogen is produced using renewable energy such as wind or solar power. Unlike fossil fuels, hydrogen will thus be able to ensure the power supply for future generations.

Hydrogen can easily be transported in highly pressurized individual or bundled storage cylinders on trucks or by rail.

Energy efficient

Hydrogen is a very efficient energy source, performing better than fossil fuels, and has a very high energy density relative to its weight. One liter of Diesel fuel only contains 10 kWh worth of energy. One kilogram of compressed hydrogen, by contrast, has an energy content of 33 kWh.
