The EFOY Pro fuel cells are empowering the monitoring of mines and open pit mines. The monitoring systems are based on GNSS satellite navigation or optical encoders that capture and send readings in combination with PC and radio modems. The duration varies between 0.5 and 2 years.
Significant was to ensure a continuous power supply for our monitoring systems. Until the use of fuel cells the power supply had to be connected via cable to grid. This meant a very high effort to have power available on the site.
The EFOY Pro 2800, the latest fuel cell generation, is the ideal power supply solution for this application.

During a test phase, which was realized by the university, an EFOY Pro was used. Both, the performance parameters as well as the handling convinced.

The EFOY Pro fuel cells are housed in aluminum boxes. These boxes contain all necessary technical systems for the operation to the monitoring station (inverter, solar converters, PC, wireless modem, etc.).
At the moment there are two EFOY Pros in hybrid operation with solar cells in use.
The use of the monitoring systems is now much more flexible and is not tied to direct power anymore. This enables faster response times an increased the security.
