As an oil and gas producer, we are regulated to maintain cathodic protection on our steel pipelines & risers. This form of protection against external corrosion, is normally achieved with impressed current rectifiers connected to the power grid. An off grid solution of some type was needed.
Our remote locations were undergoing partial surface decommissioning, which included removal of all electric grid power. The underground pipelines were to remain operational, and still required the cathodic protection to be active 24/7.
Install an EFOY ProCabinet Fuel Cell Solar Hybrid solution (corresponds to latest fuel cell generation EFOY Pro 2800) to provide power to the Cathodic Protection controller in place of grid power.
